Why we built Campus Radar Jobs

As academics, job seekers and higher education recruiters we have been frustrated with not having a dedicated higher education recruitment site that enables job ads to actually be seen by a relevant higher education audience in our corner of the world. The COVID-19 pandemic has compounded a lot of recruitment issues and seeking new talent and opportunities, both nationally and internationally, has become increasingly difficult.
We sought to create a go-to higher education platform that all campuses and campus workers can use and engage on. One that’s affordable, agile and tailored for higher education recruitment from both the job seeker’s and the employer’s perspective. We are accomplished academics and job search consultants who can efficiently match your desired credentials and seek the best candidates to fill your roles.

To provide a quality one-stop higher education jobs board that specifically engages the whole spectrum of campus workers, enables cross-fertilisation of talent across all campus types, provides recruitment tools for employers to create comprehensive ads, showcases early career research, and opens up new opportunities for higher education job seekers. To accomplish this, we don't just 'post and hope' the right people see your job ads. Instead, we diligently curate a fresh target list of quality candidates and put your ads right under their noses. We seek the best candidates from around the globe and make your search, our job!

A special Café for graduates

At the heart of Campus Radar Jobs is our determination to facilitate higher education careers; especially those of higher degree students and early career researchers. Graduate students are every institution’s future but it’s not easy for them to network, find jobs and build their niche in higher education. This is why we created the Campus Radar Café. It is a platform for early career researchers to showcase their work and present their latest publications. They have options to indicate their availability for work, enable whether they can be contacted and control the visibility of their candidate profile in order to attract prospective employers.

The Campus Radar team

Working in concert with the digital agility of Campus Radar Jobs are academics and recruitment consultants with decades of experience in higher education. We know the trials and tribulations of working in this sector, the challenges of finding jobs and building careers, and how to seek and attract the right people to your institution from a vast global higher education jobs market. The founder of Campus Radar, Dr Kathryn Buller, has spent 20 years in academia and a further 10 years in higher education search in Australia and New Zealand. She has a significant track record in teaching, attracting funding, and research that involved mapping central stress pathways and investigating the role of neuroinflammation in neonatal hypoxic-ischemic brain injury. Kathryn has spearheaded appointments of national and international candidates to universities and research institutions across virtually every discipline and academic level.

Campus Radar was founded in Brisbane in 2021 and brought to life with One5Digital developers located in Melbourne. We pay our respects to Elders past, present and emerging and the traditional custodians of the land upon which we live and work; the Turrbal and Yuggera people as the traditional owners of the lands in the City of Brisbane and the Wurundjeri Woi Wurrung people in the City of Melbourne. We also acknowledge Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples as the First Peoples of Australia and Māori as tāngata whenua in Aotearoa New Zealand.
