The Lecture or Senior Lecturer will be responsible for providing leadership in research, teaching and engagement in the area of Cyber and Network Security. The role will promote the School and maintain links and partnerships with relevant academic, industry and professional communities
In addition to the development and utilisation of cutting edge technology and laboratories for teaching Cyber and Networking Security to support active learning styles, the position will provide hands on coaching for student teams competing in Cyber Security competitions such as capture the flags, forensics tournaments, and cyber war-games and will supervise students in multi-disciplinary capstone project teams.
The successful candidate will be appointed based on experience relevant to the role.
Your key responsibilities will include:
Education and Employability
• Lead teaching teams to develop effective unit and course curricula and learning material (including through course leadership roles)
• Deliver learner-centric, research-informed teaching practices across different levels / modes of delivery
• Apply leading industry and/or research practice into student learning experiences and resources
• Support diverse learners by designing accessible and inclusive unit and course material and practices
• Foster a culture of collaboration and educational excellence within the discipline
